This department qualifies students for qualitative and quantitative analysis of national economic development and the execution of economic policy, for independent monitoring of the current theoretical and practical economic principles as well as for the further scientific advancement.
The students acquire managerial skills, ability to analyze and synthesize, plan, organize and solve problems, ability for team work, communication and application of knowledge in practice as well as flexible adjustment to new situations – changes.
At the department, through study programs, methodological, quantitative and qualitative scientific disciplines are studied that give insight to real assumptions of economic development and economic and theoretical analysis. The students acquire knowledge and skills necessary for performing highly professional, managerial and analytical work in a very broad area of macroeconomics, microeconomics, economic development, banking operations, solving accounting and financial problems.
At the Department of Economic Sciences, teaching in Bachelor Studies (BS) and Master's Academic Studies (MAS) is carried out.
